Do you know what to do if someone you love suffers a heart attack? Did you know that every 33 seconds someone dies from a cardiac arrest? The life-saving techniques of CPR are simple to learn and will prepare you for cardiac emergencies that can happen anytime, anywhere and to anyone.

This course meets the requirements for healthcare providers and is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and relieve choking - conscious and unconscious - in a safe, timely and effective manner. Review of the CPR procedure includes instructions for one- and two-person rescue for adult, children and infant. Also, teaches ventilation with a barrier device, a bag valve mask device and oxygen and with the use of an AED.

Must be 16 years of age or older to attend. Must be physically able to do chest compressions and provide rescue breaths. Some physical limitations may make it impossible for students to demonstrate the skills necessary to meet the requirements. Certification cards will not be issued to students that are not able to demonstrate course skills.

Only American Heart Association approved curriculum is used.

This course teaches adult and child CPR, use of Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and relief choking. Infant CPR will also be reviewed at the end of the course. Must be 14 years of age or older to attend. Medical training is not required. Only American Heart Association approved curriculum is used.

This course is designed for parents, grandparents and family or friends who want to learn the basics of infant, child and adult CPR, safety and relief from choking. All attendees must be 14 years of age or older. High school students who are taking the health class on the Internet are acceptable. A certificate of participation is given at the end of the class. If you need an AHA card, consider taking the Heartsaver AED course. Please do not bring infants or children to the class.

It is preferred to take class prior to birth of a new baby and is recommended by the AHA to repeat course every 2 years.

Only American Heart Association approved curriculum is used.
