Hospital demonstrates commitment to heart health as presenting sponsor of Heart Walk

Boca Raton Regional Hospital, a longtime supporter of the American Heart Association and the Start! Heart Walk, served as the presenting sponsor of the annual Heart Walk earlier this month in downtown West Palm Beach. Each year, more than 10,000 individuals participate in the walk, which draws attention to heart disease and the importance of physical activity.

“As a recognized leader in the state of Florida for heart and vascular surgery, cardiology and stroke, we share in the American Heart Association’s commitment of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke,” said Jerry Fedele, President and CEO. “It is through partnerships like ours that we can effectively combine clinical excellence, innovative research and meaningful public awareness against our nation’s No. 1 and No. 3 killer diseases. We are most pleased to be the presenting sponsor of this year’s Start! Heart Walk.”

The “Team BRRH” walkers numbered more than 500 hospital employees and their families. Departments throughout the Hospital also held fund-raising events such as bake sales to raise funds for the Heart Association.
