Outpatient Diabetes and Nutrition Center

For many, the secret to a healthier life is education. The more you know, the easier it is to control your body and your condition. If you have diabetes or have been newly diagnosed with diabetes, the Diabetes Education Program at the Davis Therapy Centers offers a number of courses designed to educate diabetic patients and their families. The classes cover the following educational information: general pathophysiology; glucose monitoring; exercise; medications; signs and symptoms; treatment of hypo and hyperglycemia; prevention and care of chronic complications; personalized meal plans; and incorporating changes into your lifestyle.

Our classes cover medical and nutritional education through these courses: Diabetes Self-Management Education Program; Nutrition and Pre-Diabetes Classes; Health and Weight Management Classes and free monthly Diabetes Adult Support Group. Individual Nutrition Therapy sessions for diabetes and other health concerns are available by appointment. These classes are listed below.
