Physician Bio
Dr. Chowdhary is Director of Medical Neuro – Oncology at the Marcus
Neuroscience Institute (MNI) and Director, Neuro – Oncology Program
/ Neurology at the Lynn Cancer Institute (LCI) at Boca Raton Regional
Hospital (BRRH). His goal here will be to develop a destination site “world
class” Neuro – Oncology Program in South Florida with Clinical
Trials Research and outstanding patient care.
Prior to this position he was Associate Professor of Neuro – Oncology
/ Neurology at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, Florida
for over 6 years (2009-2015).
He was also Program Director, Department of Neuro – Oncology at Florida
Hospital Cancer Institute, Florida Hospital, Orlando, Florida.
Prior to the above position he was Assistant Professor of Neuro –
Oncology / Neurology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida
for 5 years (2004-2009).
He was also here Attending Faculty in the Neuro – Oncology Program
at Moffitt Cancer Center and Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, Florida.
He completed his Neuro – Oncology Fellowship at the University of
Calgary, Tom Baker Cancer Center, Foothill’s Hospital in Calgary,
Alberta, Canada (2003-2004).
He completed his Neurology Residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation,
Cleveland, Ohio and Weston, Florida (2000-2003).
He prior to this completed Internship Transition Year Residency at the
Thomas Jefferson Health System Frankford Hospital, Philadelphia, PA (1999-2000).
Dr. Chowdhary was born in London, Ontario, Canada and raised in Calgary,
Alberta, Canada.
He is an Associate Professor of Neuro – Oncology and Neurology at
the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, Florida Atlantic University.
