The Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute’s
Center for Living Well is pleased to provide community acupuncture to its
growing list of services.
Acupuncture is used to balance and harmonize the mind and body. It is often
used for the treatment of pain issues, emotional balancing, treating internal
ailments and even boosting the immune system.
Community acupuncture, also known as group acupuncture, is often used as
a way to introduce new patients to acupuncture or as a more affordable
treatment option. Many of those who participate feel strongly that an
additional benefit of community/group acupuncture is the healing energy
generated during a group session.
When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, you will be greeted by
a member of our team, provided with forms to complete and escorted to
a comfortable room in our Phyllis Sandler Center for Living Well. Your
acupuncturist will review your concerns and then he/she will place the
needles as you close your eyes and relax for about 20 minutes in a room
with soothing music and dimmed lights.
